Community
& Economic Development > Annual Report
It is with great pleasure that I respectfully submit to the citizens of Fort Fairfield the following report of the activities of the Fort Fairfield Community Development Agency for the year ending June 30, 2006. The efforts to locate the Pineland Farms Cattle Project in Fort Fairfield culminated on April 1, 2006 when the Town entered into an agreement for the company to use the former Industrial Waste Site. Another great project that the office has been working on is the Fort Fairfield Municipal Building Rehabilitation Project using 2006 CDBG Planning Grant funds. During this fiscal year, the office was responsible for the administration of nearly two million dollars, administering several grants simultaneously for the community. The Federal and State legislative delegations have been instrumental in the office’s grant success.
GRANTS/PROJECTS
The office has assisted in the successful application for grant funds from D.E.C.D., F.E.M.A., H.U.D., USDA-RD, MDOT and MDEP.
