The Town of Fort Fairfield, Maine, is currently soliciting resumes for the position of Town Manager.  Fort Fairfield is a community of 3500, with a Council/Manager form of government, an annual budget of $3.0 million excluding schools, and 20 full-time employees.  The Town Council is seeking an individual with personnel management and labor relations experience, strong successful economic development experience, strong financial management and budgeting skills, and good communications skills.  The successful Manager candidate should be a creative problem solver with the ability to work as a team member, and demonstrate flexibility and openness in the performance of their job.

Candidates should possess at least 5 years of progressively responsible management experience.  The Town Council would prefer a candidate with municipal management experience and a degree in Public or Business Administration, however, individuals with equivalent experience and education are encouraged to apply.

DEPUTY TOWN CLERK

TOWN OF FORT FAIRFIELD


The Town of Fort Fairfield, Maine is accepting applications for Deputy Town Clerk.

The Deputy assists the Town Clerk in the issuance of licenses and permits, recording documents and vital statistics, and maintenance of records. The individual in this position also serves as General Assistance Administrator and Registrar of Voters.
Applicants must be high school graduates, and should have experience in general office work, working with the public, proficiency in typing/word processing and the use of computers. The successful candidate must be able to work independently as well as with others, be self-motivated, have great communication and organizational skills, and a keen attention to detail.

This is a full-time position which offers a great benefits package that includes: Health Insurance, Retirement Plan, Paid Holidays and Vacation. Salary commensurate with experience

GENERAL HOURS
Monday-Friday (weather & events permitting)
6:00am-noon


Indoor Walking/Exercise - The community center gymnasium is open to the public for walking/exercise Monday through Friday from 6:00am-12:00 noon (except holidays).  The hours are subject to change and will be posted accordingly.  There is no charge to use the facility for this activity and all are welcome.

Co-ed Volleyball - Starting in late October, Co-ed volleyball for ages 16 and over will held at the Fort Fairfield Community Center every Sunday evening from 6-8pm through the end of April.  The program is informal with teams being selected each night from all those in attendance.  There is no charge to participate in the program and all are welcome.

Adult Basketball - The community center is open for adult basketball from 6:30-8:30pm starting in late October.  Play is informal with teams being selected each night from all those in attendance.  The cost is $2 each night.  If there is sufficient interest amongst all players, we will organize a league and have scheduled play for each team.  Please contact the Recreation Department 472-3882 for more information, or click this link to see our current recreational happenings for more details.
